I was driving home from my accounting class (prereq for my master's) and I realized that today a year ago, I was prepping for deployment, saying my goodbyes, and using up kleenex like there was no tomorrow. Oddly enough, there was a huge snow storm, just like there is right now that kept me here an additional 5 days. It's snowing outside now, and I'm hoping that it's enough to at least delay work tomorrow, maybe cancel it:)
Joe and I are doing pretty good. We're finally adapting to being together, learning what each other means when we say certain things, and just enjoying each other's company. I had dental surgery last week to move some skin from the roof of my mouth to my lower gum that was receding. It was more painful than I anticipated, and it's taken longer to heal than I thought it would too. At least the gum graft is "taking" to my lower jaw, so that's a good thing.
I went up to Ann Arbor a few weeks ago for my friends college graduation party. That was a lot of fun, and I really enjoyed getting to see her. After her graduation party we went to see the UM women's gymnastic meet against Mich State. Of course UM won:) It was neat to be back at Chrystler arena too. Ahh the memories! Thanks for a great time Jenny!
