2 years and going strong!

This picture has nothing to do with anything, other than the fact that Joe was in the Navy and I loved seeing the shipyard covered with lights - it's an amazing sight!

Whew have I been busy… but now that it’s about at an end for the holidays, I don’t feel like I’ve done much! I’ve been writing my own annual performance report, and that has been quite the learning experience. Apparently this happens a lot in the military too. In any case it’s almost done!
Joe and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary on the 18th. We went to Chicago for the weekend and that was a lot of fun. We went to the Science and Industry museum and saw the U-505 German Submarine. Then we went to the Field museum to see King Tut’s display-that was a bummer b/c we didn’t get to see his coffin like I was hoping. Apparently he’s still located in his tomb, so all we saw was some artifacts from his tomb.

Now I have to gush about Joe - sorry for those of you who aren't married to him, okay everyone! But yesterday was a rather rough day for me... So last night when we were at a friends, and Joe and Nestor had to run to the store, Joe brought me back a rose! Then he stayed up all night cleaning/packing for our trip home. Then this morning he woke me up a couple of minutes before my alarm b/c he had made me breakfast in bed! Not only was it great tasting, but he had shaped the scrambled eggs in the shape of a heart in the center with potatoes all around the outside! God has so tremendously blessed me that I am speechless and awestruck by His provisions! Just goes to show that deployment (with God's help) will be a piece of cake too lol!

Well, I realize I’ve been a slacker and haven’t put any pictures up lately, but I couldn’t find the camera cord for awhile, and now I’m typing at work – bad me!
