I am the happiest that I've been in a long time. Before you start shaking your head, let me explain. Yes I miss Joe and family/friends tremendously. However, knowing that I am right where God wants me, doing what I'm supposed to do and was trained to do, and helping other people just overflows my cup with joy!!! I didn't have expectations coming over here, but I do know that I didn't expect to learn this much and have fun at the same time. There are some amazing, hardworking people in the military and the experience they have and the stories they tell leave me speechless at times.
Today was my promotion ceremony and it meant a lot to me to have people come and wish me well. There were hundreds of years of experience in that room and it was awesome to have them all there with me celebrating another person moving up the ranks. Today is one of those days that I feel like I could stay in the military 20+ years! 2 down, and who knows what God has planned next!
