This past year as my friends deployed, I wondered what went through their head as the countdown dwindled. Now I know from personal experience, and it isn't that bad - but I give all that credit to God for protecting my mind from Satan and the depressing thoughts of leaving.
So here are the top 10 things rambling through my brain, some in order, others not b/c I didn't want to rearrange the numbers:)
1. Do I have all the stuff I need to pack?
2. Where am I really going in Iraq? (things have been changing recently, but it sounds for the better)
3. I'm really going to miss Joe.
4. I really should be working out more...
5. I just got my performance report back for the last year, and it was really good - so now I'm trying to figure out what I need to do in this next year to continue to improve.
6. I want to start my Master's degree in Public Management, but do I have the money/time while deployed?
7. Where on earth is my address book?? I wanna write people real letters while gone and it's free for me to send while over there:)
8. I love these going away luncheons b/c I get to see my friends, but I'm sick of restaurant food!
9. I need to make lists for Joe of important account info/bills/locations of important stuff.
10. I'm going to miss my family, friends, and pets!
