Care Packages

First of all, thank you all so much for the letters and care packages up to this point - they have been perfect and a great encouragement!
Capt S - thanks for your latest package, it just took me awhile to find where it was kept:)

So the living conditions here are different than I anticipates - and it turns out that we have a BX (like a walmart - but just 3 small rooms with limited variety and the good stuff goes VERY fast) so there are a few things here that I (and coworkers) could use, but didn't have on my list:

home made cookies/desserts - the chow hall here tries to have desserts, but they're all pre packaged stuff
hand soap- (Bath and Body worksor something good that doesn't chap hands) we have hand washing stations and a women's bathroom where I work that only uses dish soap equivalent and it's killing our hands!
Tylenol PM (or something like that)- lots of people are switching their sleeping schedules as they come/go and the BX here never carries it.
Water flavor packets - we have huge bottles of water b/c the stuff out of the faucets aren't potable. So, we like to use individual packets/"On the go" like crystal light, gatorade, or powerade that we just dump in our drinks
Protein bars - I'm starting to work out a lot more, and either protein bars, or meal replacement bars would be awesome. They don't last long in the store over here b/c tons of guys are trying to bulk up:)

I think that about does it for now. Please don't feel obligated to send anything. If nothing else, this blog posting just lets you know more about what living conditions are like here:) And stuff I took for granted at being able to get whenever I wanted!
