Changing desks

I have moved offices and am now part of the “officer world.” Before I sat out on the main floor to learn from my TSgt. That was way better – you see so much more of what’s happening! Now I’m rather removed from it all and get tasked much more than before. It’s interesting to see how much I know already. For example, my LCDR promised some other people that we’d do some stuff as a favor. Well, that’s a bad thing b/c there is a particular process that everything needs to go through. When it doesn’t happen, there isn’t proper documentation, and that makes everyone’s life harder. But I think that things are starting to get fixed. The more we push people to do things correctly and refuse to do favors, we should be able to get things on track. Today was my ½ day again. I almost didn’t get one this week, but I decided not to come in this morning anyways b/c there is always going to be work to do, and I need time to rejuvenate too – I got 10 hrs of sleep last nite and wow was that a great feeling. Then I ran 3 miles at the gym and that felt great! My lungs have been burning all day from it b/c it’s so dry over here, but other than that no probs. That’s an answer to prayer b/c usually when I run on treadmills I get shin splints or knee pain. A few days ago 2 guys from my office and I ran the loop around the lake, and it took around 15-20 mins (none of us are sure b/c we didn’t look at our watches). We had heard that the loop was over 2 miles, so we decided to drive around the lake and clock it. Well, it came out to be 2.8, and we were feeling pretty good about ourselves! Until later when I realized that we had run 2.8 kilometers!!!
