For a little update, Jim found out about our scheme b/c someone snitched on us. Last night he got 5 packages from his son’s school, so now he’s definitely taken care of! I got a box of homemade cookies from Denise and those are AWESOME!
Yesterday I ran the 10K (6.2 miles) over at the Victory complex. That was a lot of fun, and I got a free t-shirt out of it, so I can’t complain. I use to hate running and races, and now I’m really enjoying them. The people there are really nice, and most people are out just to run for fun.
Today I was forced to make the coffee for the office. I don’t like coffee (I do like the smell though), but due to my catering background, I know how to make it. The guy who usually makes it was late coming in, and if the guys don’t get their caffeine, then they get cranky! So I made it, and now they’d prefer that I make it over the other guy b/c of how good it was. Haha!
I’ve been trying to help other people eat healthy with me, and one of the guys has named a salad after me. It’s basically veggies, grilled chicken, and salsa salad. Then its put in a to go box upside down, and we shake it good, and then the dressing has been spread all over. A Capt saw us making them and he said, “oh I get it! It’s a shake and bake salad!”
