Full day off

I didn't realize how many people have been reading my blog! Thus I haven't been as faithful in updating as I guess I should be now that I know I have such an audience:) This week I got to go on a "field trip" for lack of a better way to phrase where I went/what I did. Sorry if that's just going to make more of you curious, but that's all I can say for now. It was a great learning experience, and it only helped to remind me of how little I know about this huge war effort. I know that the media portrays this place with lots of bombings, feuds, and problems. Yes, that is happening, but so are great things! People have food, water, more education, a government... And when the troops leave cities to go to another to set them up, Iraqis are bummed to see us leave. We must be doing something right if they don't want us to go! for as much as I'd love to be home right now, having a purpose over here keeps me going and very interested in what I do.

On another tangent, today was my 1/2 day! Ok, it was a full one b/c of that addition thing I did rather than taking a separate trip. It was so nice to not have to go into work. For a moment it almost felt like I wasn't here but just relaxing at home. Ok, a trailer will never feel like home, but it's as close as I can get to being home. I got up early to work out, ate breakfast at the chowhall (usually I have to be at work, so I eat oatmeal at my desk), took a nap, watched some movies, did laundry, called home... quite relaxing I must say! I don't know what I'm going to do with all the extra free time when I get back to the States! haha!!!!!!!!
