The joke around here is that I'm going to get extended. Everyone is trying to freak me out and get a rise out of me. I keep telling them that I'd love to stay, I just want to be able to go home for a week so I can go to the Rainbow Club:) Other then that, since I like my job it wouldn't bother me if I did have to stay here for a while. The main guy that’s been teasing me about the extension dips (puts tobacco in the bottom gum of his mouth). So I told him that if I am extended, the new office policy is no tobacco products indoors. That knocked the smile off his face! We were all laughing at how seriously he took that, and I told them to be careful how loud they joke around, or the main office might think I really do want to/am extending, and then they’ll put my replacement in another office! Luckily, since I'm in the AF, and not the Navy or Army, I'm not going to be extended and everything is on track for me to come home.
I read a recent study that showed that children laugh on average twice as much as adults. That sounds about right, but definitely not in my current office! We're always laughing and goofing around. TSgt D asked if she could take her 1/2 day tomorrow, and LCDR told her to drop and give him 50 first. So she sits down on the ground, and pulls out her wallet and says "sorry sir, I only have $20!" I'd never seen that approach before, but that was definitely funny!
